Starting his career in Sweden as an officer in the marines, Claes trained and qualified as a nurse in 1985. Following this, he continued his medical training and qualified as a dentist at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm nine years later.
After completing his vocational training Claes moved to England in 1996 where he worked in a dental practice in Reading for two years. Claes then moved to a dental practice in Camberley, before joining Mona at the Bridge View Dental Practice in 2003, where they have been looking after the dental health of local people since.
Claes is a member of the British Dental Association (BDA), the Swedish Dental Society (England and Sweden) and is a general practitioner with a passion for sports dentistry, implantology and dental trauma. Claes also has a private practice in Harley Street.
